RECOMMENDED PRINT FORMATS
Adobe PDF format is recommended by our Design Team. Other recommended formats are AI, EPS & PSD.
COLOUR MODE
Save all files, artboards and canvases in CMYK colour mode. RGB / Pantone / PMS colours will get converted to CMYK during production.
BLEED
A 3mm bleed area is required on all artwork designs.
IMAGES
Save or Embed all images at 300dpi (Dots Per Inch) resolution.
DIE CUT / CUSTOM SHAPE STICKERS
We need to keep at least 2mm of space (a safe zone) on all sides of your design for production purposes. This is to ensure the die cutting process works accurately during production.
BORDERS ON STICKERS
We need to make borders at least 2mm thick on your design for production purposes. Alternatively, thinner borders will need to site within the safe zone recommended above.
This is to ensure the guillotining process works accurately during production.
MINIMUM RECOMMENDED FONT SIZE
- Roll printing: 4pt font size
- Sheet printing: 6pt font size
- Individually cut printing: 6pt font size
While small fonts may print on your stickers, we always recommend the above sizes for clarity and legibility on your printed stickers. Low quality images may impact these recommended font sizes. Please always try to send the highest quality files possible to avoid any issues.
FONT TO OUTLINES
In formats such as Adobe Illustrator, please convert “Fonts To Outlines” on all fonts used in the documents. This is also known as “Fonts to Curves” in some software.
QR CODES & BARCODES
EStickers can generate QR Codes to use with your designs, but are unable to generate any other types of scannable barcodes. When making your own QR codes or barcodes, please try to obtain the highest quality files possible. This will ensure the printed codes are scannable when printed. Please see the recommended sizes:
- QR codes: Make them at least 12mm (h) x12mm (w)
- Sheet printing: 6pt font size: Make them at least 35mm – 40mm wide.
ARTWORK FILE SIZE
If you can send large artwork files via your email software, we can generally accept them. However, for very large files we recommend using WeTransfer Free: https://www.wetransfer.com/ (for a single artwork or ZIP file up to 2gb). Please contact us for which email to use for the WeTransfer friend’s email.
ACCEPTABLE ARTWORK FORMATS

tips
how to convert fonts to outlines (adobe Illustrator)
You can convert fonts to outlines in Illustrator by highlighting all text with the “Selection Tool” and selecting:
Type › Create Outlines.
This will ensure all fonts in your artwork look correct at our end, and our software doesn’t substitute your selected fonts.
how To check the DPI of an image (Adobe Photoshop)
You can check the DPI of an image in Photoshop by selecting:
Image › Image Size
It is recommended that you do not use any images straight off web pages, as they are low resolution (72 DPI) and will produce an inferior quality sticker (blurry & pixelated). TIF is the recommended file format as they are higher quality and compatible with both Macs & PCs.
